Join us!Job Description:This role is responsible for managing end-to-end consumer mortgage referral requests primarily for Low to Moderate Income (LMI) clients in underserved markets. Key responsibilities include connecting with internal and external centers of influence (e.g., financial center partners, realtors) to originate mortgage transactions, identifying relationship deepening opportunities with clients, and facilitating the loan process from application to close. Responsibilities also include providing home buyer education via workshops and engaging with clients and partners virtually or in-person. This position requires SAFE Act registration, including background checks and ongoing compliance, with potential disciplinary actions for non-compliance.Responsibilities:
- Originates loans from multiple referral sources
- Understands local affordable housing markets and provides guidance to first-time and low-to-moderate income homebuyers
- Achieves production goals as set by the business
- Builds and maintains a network of business relationships for ongoing referrals
- Delivers exceptional customer service, maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs and regulatory requirements
- Conducts monthly homebuyer workshops and business development
meetingsRequired Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in loan originations or home buyer education
- Knowledge of conventional, government, and affordable mortgage products and guidelines
- Experience with processing, underwriting, and closing procedures, including federal regulations
- Ability to organize and deliver home buyer workshops
- Knowledge of community housing agencies and downpayment assistance programs
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, organized, and
able to prioritize tasksDesired Qualifications:
- Experience with first mortgages and HELOCs
- Familiarity with FHA and HUD guidelines
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and competition
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and client communication technologies
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide suitable
solutionsMinimum Education Requirement:High School Diploma or GED
or equivalentCompensation:$26.97 - $31.27 hourly, based on
experience, education, and skills. Eligible for formulaic
