Job Description:
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Collateral Management Specialist
helps to mitigate credit and regulatory risk to the firm by
monitoring exposure levels versus collateral balances. This
activity crosses several asset classes, including equities, rates,
FX, credit, commodity, fixed income, structured and financing
products. Day to day responsibilities include:
Margin call processing:Instruct margin calls, interest calculation,
payment/receive orders as per Collateral Documentation.Book
collateral movements as agreed with each counterpartyInteract with
worldwide SG departments such as FO/MO/BO, Risk, Legal, Compliance
and Audit.Take the required action when a counterparty
defaultsSelect the best collateral based on the contract terms, the
collateral optimization process and the strategies defined by the
Front OfficeRaise alert in the event of unusual client
activityAttend client meetings to represent OPER and CCRMonitor
KPIsDisputes management:Manage the dispute resolution for sensitive
clients or large amountsReconcile, investigate and follow up on any
trade/MTM discrepancies with clientsCoordinate the dispute
resolution either internally or liaising with the client ensuring a
remediation plan is in placeEnsure requests are addressed in a
timely mannerProcess improvements:Write Procedures (operating
modes)Relay to the team any issues found daily to identify and
implement process improvementsChampion initiatives for improved
client service, process efficiency, control, cost savings,
etc.Studies and ProjectsWrite complex procedures and suggest
process improvements or new KPIsPerimeter:Assist and/or train
collateral analysts
Profile RequiredTechnical Skills:Good knowledge of repo,
derivatives and Collateral ManagementStrong analytical,
problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong accounting and
financial analysis skillsFamiliarity with banking procedures, loan
and payment systemsFamiliarity with legal documentation including
CSAs, MSFTAs, MRAs Sec Lending agreements and clearing
agreements.Excellent organizational and work documentation
skillsAbility to maintain an awareness of changing market
conditions and the relevant impact on clients.Ability to interact
in a mature and professional manner when interfacing with clients,
team members and other SG departmentsComputer literate, including
Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
Desired / Plus:Good working knowledge of Lombard Risk's Colline
platform

Experience Needed:
1-5 years experience in the financial services industry
Experience Desired:
1-3 years direct collateral management experienceExperience
directly communicating with external clients
Educational Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in finance or related field
