Regional Air Logistics Systems Manager -Jersey City, NJ - req87118Our Air Logistics Team in Jersey City, NJ is looking for a new Regional Air Logistics Systems ManagerYOUR ROLEEnsure that corporate digital Air Logistics standard systems and approved local systems are readily available to the operational staff by creating and maintaining support structures according to the corporate procedures, pro-actively look out for further improvement potential in these systems and engage in the development process of such improvements with the respective development teams.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES- Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders for all topics related to the usage of operational systems in their geographical area of responsibility.- Provide functional and organizational guidance to local systems managers.- Set up and maintain support structures via 1st level support teams in GS to ensure uninterrupted availability of the operational systems to Air Logistics staff and, if necessary, help 1st level teams with expert knowledge. Manage 2nd level support requests with full root cause analysis- Continuously review and define regression test cases in our systems based on the criticality of the business use cases for Operation, in alignment with the Corporate Test team.- Always keep up-to-date on new development features in the systems and actively promote and implement them to operational staff, in alignment with the Training teams.- Develop strategies to increase the quality and utilization of system functionalities. Pro-actively look for improvements to increase automation and efficiency of the operational process, in alignment with the Process teams. Actively monitor, drive and improve systems utilization for your assigned area and topics. - Define business requirements to improve systems, supported by use cases, derive acceptance criteria and provide a business value proposition.- Facilitate close and effective collaboration between local users and system development teams using methods of visualization and feedback to ensure that system improvements are delivering value to the users.- Handle required system setups, facilitate systems tools and setups for transitioning tasks to the respective teams, including the Global Services Center.- Take ownership and be responsible of systems and projects assigned to you, understand requirements, identify deliverables, track and manage these projects with the systems manage teams, report status and risks to the respective managers and stakeholders.- Engage with the global systems organization, IT and local 3rd parties to evaluate locally required solutions.- Work with compliance specialists to ensure systems solutions are aligned with local and global compliance standards. - Provide training to staff in collaboration with regional air freight trainer team.YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES- 2 to 5 years of Air Logistics knowledge- Advanced expertise in methods and tools to collaborate and visualize- Ability to understand and interpret business processes- Ability to learn system systems in depth, identify issues and propose fixes- Ability to plan and manage projects, deliverables, risks, escalations- Ambitious team player in a cross-cultural environment- Strong analytical, conceptional and organizational abilities- Proactive, approachable and communicative personality- Highly self-organized, self-driven & independent, perceptive- Occasional travel requiredGOOD REASON TO JOINWe offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, excellent training programs and a highly dynamic global work environmentABOUT KUEHNE+NAGELWith over 78000 employees at some 1,300 locations in over 100 countries, the Kuehne+Nagel Group is one of the world's leading logistics companies.CONTACTUS Talent AcquisitionUSA.Talent.Acquisition@Kuehne-Nagel.com
