The position is remote with the potential to go hybrid onsite (2 days/week) in Dallas, Texas at a later date. If interested, please apply within.**This position cannot work C2C and we are unable to provide sponsorship**Summary:Title: Application/Production Suppport EngineerLocation: Remote Start with potential for weekly hybrid schedule in Dallas, TXContract Length: 12+ monthsRequirements:5+ years of experience in Application/Production SupportUnixAutosys or Any other batch scheduling toolsHadoop or InformaticaOracleJob Description (Required):This position is for an individual contributor role in the Client Data Reference support team who will be part of multiple applications supported under the Wholesale Credit Banking (WCB) Application Support Services(APS) organization. Client Data apps have both large amounts of batch processing (Informatica, Oracle, ETL, etc) and have some UI (J2EE, WebService) applications. These applications transport and store the data from many different systems, and sometimes serve as the Systems of Records (SOR), making attention to detailed support a critical role component.The candidate will work as an application support analyst supporting the Client and Credit Sync applications. Responsibilities include:--- Responsible for Incident management and conducting proper problem follow-up.--- Proactively monitor and manage the production environment.--- Troubleshoot and resolve application problems including but not limited to job failures, feed management, monitoring etc--- Improve and or create documentation of support policies and procedures--- Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the system.--- Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment.--- Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached.--- To ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept current.--- Maintaining a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process, techniques etc--- Takes part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems--- Weekend or after hours work is required to support critical business initiatives such as application deployments (Pre & Post activities), infrastructure changes, Industry-wide tests, or Disaster Recovery tests.--- Build strong partnership with CIO team, Infrastructure and platform teamsRequired Skill--- 7+ years of experience in development or production support--- 5+ years in following: Oracle Database (SQL), J2EE , UNIX, Informatica--- Ability to solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-up--- Excellent problem solving skills--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills--- Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to organize time, work on multiple tasks, and follow tasks and projects through to completion, while keeping all interested parties properly updated.Desired Skill--- Autosys (job scheduler)Top 3 Must Have Skillsets Required :J2EEE, Oracle, Unix, AutosysEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
