  • The goal of the project is to present previous two-year financial statements, down to Gross Profit, for the Managed Service division of the company.
  • This will include representing each practice area's Gross Profit.
    • There are 20 practice areas in the business.
    • The emphasis will be on cost of goods sold review, which will include reviewing historical bills, tracing back where they were presented, reviewing if classification was appropriate and if not reclassifying the costs to the appropriate practice area and period it belongs
    • Validating and/or restating the cost accruals made to the business on a month to month basis
    • Ability to consume large data set (general ledger), and restate financial results while maintaining integrity of the original reported information
    • Ability to track findings and conclusions in a summarized manner
    • Ability to effectively communicate in a direct manner with operations and management
    • Ability to research history in multiple accounting systems (SAGE, QuickBooks, NetSuite)
    • Ability to translate management recommendations to financial statement impact (balance sheet and P&L)
    • Clear and concise documentation to track financial statement impact of recommendations
    • Meet with management on a bi-weekly basis to discuss progressQualifications/Skills:
    • Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables for creation of reports and files)
    • 5+ years of accounting experience
    • Experience with researching and analyzing prior year financial statements and restructuring them in a new, usable format
    • Ability to consume large data set (general ledger), and restate financial results while maintaining integrity of the original reported information
    • Experience working in a product driven industry with multiple entities/divisions/practices/etc.
    • Strong understanding of matching revenues with expenses
    • Strong written and oral communication skillsDetails/Additional Information:
      • This position will be a 100% remote role for the entire duration.
