BLT is seeking an experienced and dynamic -Leasing Consultant -to join -our luxury community located in Jersey City. -The -Leasing Consultant -is responsible for providing prospects and residents with exceptional sales and customer service, as well as maintaining awareness of all the happenings within the neighborhood and local rental market.Duties & Responsibilities of the Leasing Consultant: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

• Answering the phone and responding to in-person inquiries
• Anticipate needs of the customers and residents
• Understanding the rental market and comp set
• Knowledge of the inventory and available homes
• Must be able to overcome objections
• Converting leads into community tours by following up with all prospects and providing helpful and compelling information about the community and neighborhood
• Building a rapport with prospects and residents
• Contributing to desired occupancy levels by conducting informative and personalized tours of the community that result in new leases
• Performing background checks, credit checks and other responsibilities to see if prospective renters are qualified. - Must be responsible with confidential information
• Handling the collection of rent payments, security deposits and application fees
• Building brand loyalty and achieving resident retention goals by ensuring that the resident experience is consistently stellar
• Performing property walks of complex - including grounds, building lobbies and apartments to ensure areas are ready and up to standard for all prospective and current residents -
• Participates and encourages an atmosphere that meets and exceeds resident and customer expectationsRequirements -of the Position of Leasing Consultant:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Property leasing, Sales and/or Customer experience
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset
  • Ability to quickly build a rapport with prospective and current residents and anticipate needs to help provide personalized customer service
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multitask -
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills a must!
