As an Auto Technician for Mike's Auto NJ, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Your responsibilities will involve inspecting vehicles, identifying issues, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry and safety standards. Monday - Friday 9am-7pm and Saturday 8am-3pm Key Responsibilities: 1. Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. --- Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to pinpoint problems accurately. --- Provide detailed reports to customers and service advisors regarding the condition of their vehicles. 2. Repair and Maintenance : --- Perform a variety of mechanical repairs, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems. --- Replace or repair worn or damaged parts such as belts, hoses, brakes, and spark plugs. --- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. 3. Quality Workmanship: --- Ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed with precision and adhere to industry standards. --- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace. --- Verify the functionality of repairs through thorough testing before returning vehicles to customers. 4. Customer Interaction: --- Communicate with customers and service advisors to explain diagnoses, repair options, and cost estimates. --- Address customer concerns and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. --- Provide recommendations for preventive maintenance and potential future repairs 5. Technical Knowledge : --- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, tools, and repair methods. --- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge. --- Adhere to safety protocols and follow manufacturer guidelines for repairs 6. Documentation and Record-Keeping : --- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours. --- Complete work orders and documentation for billing and warranty purposes. --- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations 7.
