DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Forest Maintenance Worker in the Loyalsock Forest District,
you will assist with forest maintenance, fire management, and
recreation tasks. Your main tasks will include cleaning,
maintaining, painting, and repairing the forest facilities. You
will operate and maintain the necessary tools and equipment,
ensuring safety checks and inspections are completed before use.
Additionally, you will perform regular preventative maintenance,
pre and post inspection, cleaning, and minor repairs on hand tools,
power tools, motorized equipment and vehicles as directed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:This is a seasonal,
full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs
from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the
employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will
automatically be returned to employment March 2026.Work hours are
7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You will not have the

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year
of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and
equipment used in maintenance or construction; orAn equivalent
combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:This position will require possession of a
valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
