Job Description:
As a Licensed Optical Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will
lead an optical department within our dynamic, membership-only
warehouse environment. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional
customer service and ensuring a professional optical service
experience for BJ's members. The successful candidate will oversee
the daily operations of the optical department, aligning with BJ's
mission to offer high-quality products at low prices, with a
specific focus on the unique eyewear needs of our diverse
clientele. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the optical
department. Lead and train staff to ensure high levels of customer
service and expertise. Maintain accurate inventory levels and
ensure proper merchandising of eyewear products. Perform eye exams
and fit glasses and contact lenses in accordance with state laws
and regulations. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the
optical department's performance and increase member satisfaction.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations relating to optical
services. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that the latest
eyewear trends and technologies are available to members. Handle
and resolve customer complaints and issues related to optical
services. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth
knowledge of eyewear industry and optical products. Experience in
retail optical operations and customer service. Ability to conduct
and interpret vision tests. Proficiency with optical laboratory
equipment and tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current
state licensure as an Optician or in a similar role. Certification
from the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) preferred. National
Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) certification is a plus.
